What does the Page Speed Checker measure?
It runs a lab-style PageSpeed analysis for performance, SEO, accessibility and best practices, then adds a security-header review and light technology signals from the public HTML.
Is this the same as Google PageSpeed Insights?
Performance and category scores come from the Google PageSpeed Insights API when available. NP SoftTech adds security header checks, local accessibility signals and Shopify-focused next steps.
Mobile or desktop?
You can run either strategy. Mobile is the default because most storefront traffic is mobile and Core Web Vitals are often tighter there.
Will a higher score guarantee more sales?
No. Faster pages reduce friction, but sales still depend on traffic, offer, trust and operations. We treat speed as conversion support, not a promised lift.
